A SplitFire Labs experiment
UXArcade
Learn UI/UX by playing. Feel the law; the name is the reward.
This is the cartridge label — the lab's own words. The game itself lives on its own domain.
The origin story is the point
Nobody learns Fitts's Law from a definition. You learn it the first time a tiny button in a corner makes you miss — and then it's yours forever. UXArcade is built on that: a 3-minute game for each of 55 design laws, where you feel the law in your own hands before we ever name it. Every law also carries its real-world origin — why Save is a floppy disk, why radio buttons are called that at all.
Where it is honestly
UXArcade is a playable preview: all 55 laws are authored across three difficulty tiers — Easy (feel it), Medium (before/after), Advanced (make the call) — with world bosses and a calibration profile. It's real enough to play today, not finished enough to oversell. When it ships for real, Lab Notes readers hear first.
What it teaches us for cartridge #2
The five game engines UXArcade runs on are being built as a shared cabinet the next product loads content into — same feel-first method, different literacy. That's the whole portfolio logic: one lab, many cartridges, each cheaper than the last.
